Into the Cellar with Jason

What to Drink Now

2005 Maple Vineyard Zinfandel: This field blend of coveted Maple Vineyard fruit is now at its peak, ready to be enjoyed during the holiday season and throughout the coming year. As expected with our Maple Zin, it continues to show consistent character, and now its tannins have reached perfect harmony with the smooth berry and pepper flavors. If you have some 2005 in your cellar, savor a glass over the holidays and don’t forget to replenish your supply with the new release of the 2008 vintage!

2006 Dry Creek Valley Barrel Fermented Chardonnay: Now’s the perfect time to open this Barrel Fermented Chardonnay and discover how time has rounded the flavors and broadened the creamy texture. As it did at its release, this wine still shows the delicate toastiness lent by sur lie aging in oak from Tonnellerie Cadus, along with delicious fruit and a long, smooth hazelnut finish. Our Chardonnays age beautifully and this is a vintage I will be opening to share with my family over our holiday meals.
