Winemaker Notes

Full flavored and refreshingly crisp, our Sauvignon Blanc is the perfect white wine for warm weather picnics. The Muscat clone of Sauvignon Blanc lends a subtle floral overtone, while the dominant flavors of melon and citrus make it incredibly versatile with food. It stands up to the strong flavors of pesto but does not overpower the fragile flavors of a simple grilled fish or chicken.

Other Notes

The grapes for our Sauvignon Blanc come from an old vineyard in Alexander Valley containing a mixture of Sauvignon Blanc clones and several Muscat clones, which are prized for their floral aromas. This gives the wine subtle notes of herbs and citrus as one might expect, enhanced by Muscat florals for a wonderfully crisp and uniquely stylish Sauvignon Blanc.
